Deaths
One of the more iconic parts of the MacVenture games are the deaths, and Deja Vu 2 is no exception. There are a number of ways to die, and each one has its own unique dialogue to accompany it. I'm not going to spoil what those say, you should definitely check that out for yourself if you want to. This list serves a dual purpose: it can be used to avoid all deaths, or to be able to die in all the ways possible. As far as I know, this list is complete.
- Leave your hotel room without getting dressed first. Not technically a death, but it acts like one.
- Similarly, if you try to Hit Rudy you'll be ejected from the Casino. But you can waltz right back in as though nothing happened.
- Finally, an actual death! Wander around the Vegas desert for too long and you'll wind up dead
- In either Chicago or Vegas train station, try to Move past the tracks
- Hit everyone you come across. With one or two exceptions, this results in a death
- Use .38 on Self
- Try to board a train to New York, St. Louis, or Los Angeles before you frame the mob bosses
- Enter the Police Station
- Explore Joe's Bar after your Flashlight goes out
- Shoot the various citizens you come across
- Take off your clothes in front of people
- Walk into the train station while still wearing the Uniform
- Get caught while trying to escape the Cleaners
- Hit the window in D.V. Office
- Hit any of the windows on the fourth floor of the Hotel
- Take the Elevator from the fourth floor to the first floor without Taking the Button
- Leave the wrong items in Malone's desk and try to skip town
- Don't leave a Cigar Ring on Ventini's desk in the Secret Office
- Leave a Cigar Ring on Ventini's desk in the Secret Office, but take too long to plant evidence in Malone's Office
- Enter either Ventini's Office or Malone's Office a second time
- Take too long to skip town after planting evidence in Malone's desk
