Trek Across Gatekeeper
Mountain Base
Another odd stone we can't do anything with yet. Move forward.
Mountain Trail
An abandoned wagon blocks the trail. Open up the back of it and Move inside.
Carriage
Take the climbing Harness on the left, then Take the scroll on the back shelf to get another piece of your Map. Take or Open the book to start reading a marked passage which tells us about how Ferry Stones are used. These are the very X-marked stones that we've encountered a few times throughout our quest.
Across the three walls are written some odd words scratched into the wood. Look at them in the following order: Tach, Yth, Eos. You'll learn the Tachytheos spell, which allows passage between Ferry Stones. After you've taken all the items, read the book, and learned the spell, the carriage will begin to fall off the edge of the trail and Del will hop out.
Mountain Trail
Move forward, now that the carriage is not blocking us.
The Ascent
Some people might think this looks familiar, and if you know you know, but nothing we can do here. Move forward.
Great Divide
Move left.
Talos Ridge
Take the Grap. Hook hanging off the edge of the cliff, then Move back.
Great Divide
Move to the right.
Decrepit Tent
Try to Move into the tent, and a zombified soldier will emerge and block your path. Use Discitea Mort on it to see what it experienced before death. It was killed by a large beast that made a horrifying cry. Speak to the zombie, and Del will imitate the creature well enough to spook the zombie. Take the Pickaxe that it dropped, then Move back.
Great Divide
Move forward.
Wall of Ice
There's a ladder here, but it doesn't seem to be the sturdiest piece of climbing equipment. Use the Pickaxe on wall three times to chip some extra handholds into it, then Move up the wall.
Precipice
It's extremely cold up here, so Use the Heavy Coat we picked up all the way back in the Guardhouse in Chapter 4 on Self. Now that we're warm and cozy, Use the Harness on the rope that's attached to the cliff. Now Use the Harness to make your way along the narrow ledge.
Chasm
No sooner do you arrive than a fluffy winged beast appears and demands an orb. Use the Pearl on it to appease it, and it will depart. Now Use the Polykromus spell you got from drinking the Dragon Tears back in Chapter 4 on the other side of the Chasm to create a rainbow bridge. Move to the other side.
Mountain Nest
Hey, it's our old buddy Colvin! Use your Tempies Bag on him once more to give him a fun treat. He'll offer to give you a ride, so Use him to accept the invitation.
Crossroads
Move to the right.
