Chapter 1
The Great Escape

Del's Cell

For the third time in a Shadowgate sequel, you find yourself locked in a dungeon. In this instance, you were left with a Farthing and some Flint. The first thing to do to illicit an escape is to Use the bench along the back wall to make Del slide it in front of the door. Next, Use the Flint on the damp pile of hay on the ground. This will spark some embers, but won't produce anything super useful. Use the Flint on the hay two more times to get a nice blaze going. The guard will smell the smoke and charge in to see what's going on, and trip over the bench you thoughtfully moved earlier. While he's laying on the ground stunned, Take the Jailer Keys off the floor from where he dropped them. While he's still immobile, Move through the door to escape.

Desolate Hall

You'll be prompted to be aware that the guard could follow you, so Close the door behind you as soon as you get the chance. After you finished turning the tables on your captor, Wisp appears and decides to join you on your quest. From here on, you can select Wisp to get a hint about your current objective. But we're going to be callously ignoring them for the purposes of this document. When you're done chatting with your new companion, Move forward.

Cell Block 1

There's a fierce Minotaur guard at the end of the hallway, but he does not seem to notice us yet. Use the Jailer Keys on the door on the left, then Open it and Move inside.

Isolated Cell

Take the Leather Strap being fruitlessly clutched by the skeleton. In addition to having a fun new thing in your inventory, there's a bonus of triggering a Reaper Event. The border flashes red, the reaper border's eyes glow threateningly, and you only have a limited amount of time to escape the Reaper's gaze before death.

Not much time before the Minotaur passes by the cell. Quick, Close the door!

Thwarted by closed door, the guard continues his patrol. Open the door and Move back into the corridor.

Cell Block 1

Move forward into the next hallway area.

Cell Block 2

Use the Jailer Keys to unlock the door on the right, then Open and Move through.

Torture Cell

No sooner do we enter the cell then the Minotaur passes by on his patrol route. Quickly, Close the door before he gets to your cell!

Whew, that was a close one! Speak with the prisoner here, and he'll offer up a Rope when he's done imparting his tale of woe. Take the Rope, then Open the door and Move back into the corridor.

Cell Block 3

Use the Jailer Keys to unlock the door on the left, then Open and Move through.

Prisoner Cell

No sooner do we enter the cell then the Minotaur passes by on his patrol route. Quickly, Close the door before he gets to your cell!

Yet another close call! But Del has persevered. Speak with the prisoner, then Take the Stone he offers you. Open the door and Move back into the corridor.

Cell Block 3

Move forward into the next hallway.

Sentry Post

We've finally caught up with the Minotaur, which is...good? If you click anywhere on screen, he'll notice you and affect an offensive posture. You did manager to catch him off guard though, so you have the element of surprise on your side. Use the Leather Strap with the Rope to form a Sling, then Use the Stone on the Sling to load it. Use your newly crafted Loaded Sling on the Minotaur to fell the beast. Danger averted, Use the Jailer Keys on the door straight ahead. Open and Move through this door.

Royal Cell

Hey, we found the king! Speak with the good king Aronde and he'll tell you to get proof of his being alive. To aid you in this endeavor, he gives you the King's Emblem and instructs you to give it to the Barkeep in town. He'll also inform you that the key to retrieving the Royal Seal that you'll need to chat with the Prince is hidden in a stairwell. He bids you to hastily take your leave, but first we should Take the Tibia Bone that is on the floor. Move back out into the Sentry Post.

Sentry Post

Use the Jailer Keys on the door on the right, then Open it and Move through.

Empty Cell

Use the Tibia Bone on the grate in the middle of the floor to pry it open, then Move into the exit you just created.

Cavern River

We meet up with Del after he survives falling into a river and floundering his way to shore. We can't cross the river to reach that tantalizing rope we can see in the distance, so instead Move up into the cave.

Damp Cavern

Nothing to see here, Move along toward the back of the cavern.

Beast Den

A fierce beast hunches greedily over his stash of farthings. If you try to Take any of them, or add your Farthing to the pile, the creature will smell the money in your pocket and try to kill you to take it.

We can't fight him, so we'd better retreat! Move back to the Damp Cavern.

Damp Cavern

He's still hot on our trail, and we still are a defenseless Fenling. Move back to the Cavern River!

Cavern River

We're still not quite in the clear. Use your Farthing on the water to bait the creature.

Your clever ruse worked! While the creature is splashing about to find your discarded pocket change, Move across to the other side of the river and Del will scramble over the back of the beast to the other side.

Dry Well

Simply Move up the rope to escape!
