A-maze-ing Exploration
Backyard
If you have anything on you that you no longer want (such as a certain Ruby), you can Leave them here. Just make sure you Leave them on the grass rather than the path. The game will stop you from dropping anything that you’ll actually need, so feel free to go nuts. Once you’re ready, Move to the building in the center.
Outside Greenhouse
While you’re out here, Use the faucet you see by the door. You’ll need to get the pointer on or close to the knob, rather than the main faucet. Now that you’ve begun wasting water, Open the door and Move inside.
Greenhouse
Everything is already dead in here, so our work is done. But, just for fun, let’s see if we can save something. Take the Watercan sitting on the floor. If you Examine it, you’ll see that it still has some water sloshing around in it. Use the Watercan on the pot on the floor to make a small sprout appear. Do this one more time to get a slightly bigger sprout and an empty Watercan. Pop back outside for a moment.
Outside Greenhouse
Use the Watercan on the faucet to fill it up. Assuming you turned it on earlier…if not, then probably do that. Once you’ve filled up the can, Move back into the Greenhouse.
Greenhouse
Use the Watercan on the pot on the floor again, and now the plant you brought back to life has born fruit. Go ahead and Take the Fruit. Return to the Backyard.
Backyard
Move to the building on the right.Outside Church
Ugh, dogs…why’d it have to be dogs? The Thundede spell says that its for use when the path is barred by more than one. This situation certainly fits the bill, so Use or Speak the Thundede spell to frighten the dogs off. Open the doors and Move inside.
Church
If you Examine everything in here, you’ll uncover two important things: The goblet on the altar in the back is full of celestial water, and the stone face looks very pious. Take the Goblet, causing the altar to slide to the side and unveil a secret passage. While you’re stealing from a church, might as well Take the Candles. The last thing to do here regards the pious stone face. As you no doubt recall, the Gyp.Doll gave us a spell to use in front of its pious brother. Use or Speak the O Sesame spell and the face will open up a door on the left.
Before you Move anywhere else, Use the Matches on the Candles. Not the Candle 1 or Candle 2, but specifically the Candles. Once they’re lit, Move through the door on the left.
Outside Labyrinth
Eeek, a ghost! If you lit the Candles, it will be frightened off. If you lit anything else, or set nothing on fire, you will not be met kindly. Once the ghost flees the scene, Move forward.
Labyrinth
So I made a map for this place, definitely check it out. Your ultimate goal is to get to point F. If you’re a non-visual learner, I’ll spell it out. One important thing to note before we dive in: there are times when a Zombie will appear in a room, it will be quickly vanquished if you Use the Pendant on it. If you wander into a room with a hoard of Zombies, just leave. If you try to vanquish them you’ll be overpowered. There are a few markers and tombstones in here, each contain a message of varied usefulness. I’ve spelled them out on the map.To get to where you need to be, follow these directions:
- North
- West x2
- North x2
- West x2
- North x4
- East x6
- South x2
This will lead you to a room with a large tombstone along the lefthand wall. If you Examine it, it will tell you that “A rose is but a rose.” Not sure if we have any roses, but we do have some flowers. Use the Bouquet on the tombstone to reveal a secret passage. Move West.
There are three cages in this room, and a keyhole in the wall beneath them. Use your Key 1 in the lock to open up the cages and release three animals. If you Examined all the markers you came across on the way here, you would have found one that says “The bouncing creature loves things that fly.” Use the Cage on the hawk to capture it. The other two animals take care of each other, so just Move South twice.
The bouncing creature referenced earlier appears here, and you can see a gem behind it. That must be the famed Blothney Gem! Use the Cage on the frightening visage, and you’ll release the hawk. It will fly away, and the guardian will chase after it. Take the Jewel on the ground.
We have everything we need from this Labyrinth, so Use the Telemaze spell to return to the entrance.
