Uninvited is a point-and-click style game of adventure and exploration originally developed by a small team at ICOM Simulations for the Macintosh. This was the second game in their "MACventure series," as the games have been affectionately dubbed. The original lineup consisted of Deva Vu, Uninvited, Shadowgate, and Deja Vu 2. All but the Deja Vu sequel were later ported to the NES by Kemco.

The NES version features a fresh coat of paint and some tweaks with the interface, as well as some fun music. Deja Vu was the only MACventure title to receive a sequel during the original development, and Shadowgate has persisted off and on into modern day. Sadly, Uninvited has largely fallen out of the public consciousness as it never got any love after the NES release. Not even a GameBoy Color release like the other three games did. Which is a shame, as it's probably the spoopiest of the NES three pack.

But enough about all of that extended universe stuff. This is a fun little game on its own. Unlike the other two titles, this one completely escaped my attention back in the day. Having recently discovered its existence, I tracked a cart down and was certainly pleased.
