Fire School Spells

    Fireball

  • Found: You start with this
  • Uses: Shoots a fireball. One of the stronger single-target spells, which becomes stronger as you learn more spells.

    Firestorm

  • Found: Defeat Young Dragon
  • Uses: Attacks all enemies with fire.

    Ignite

  • Found: Defeat Elemental
  • Uses: Inflicts Burning Status. Far and away my favorite spell in this game.


Ice School Spells

    Ice Shards

  • Found: You start with this
  • Uses: Shoots icicle, causes Freezing status.

    Winter's Grasp

  • Found: Defeat Ice Wraith
  • Uses: Attacks all enemies for 5HP, extra damage on any target with Freezing status

    Blizzard

  • Found: Defeat Lightning Crows
  • Uses: The updated in game description says that it will deal 10 damage, and then cause extra Freezing damage for two additional rounds. This is far more accurate than the original description (causes 10 damage 3 times), but it should be noted that this only inflicts Freezing on like three enemies in the whole game. Has its uses, but overall isn't worth it due to the lower damage value.

    Frost Giant

  • Found: Defeat Djinn
  • Uses: draws the enemies attack. Usually dies in one round, except in one instance. The advantage is that when it dies, it will inflict Freezing onto all of the enemies on screen...except when it doesn't. Like many things in this game, sometimes that just doesn't work.


Sky School Spells

    Lightning Strike

  • Found: Solve the Djinn's first riddle.
  • Uses: Attacks a target for fairly high damage, as well as 5 damage to all nearby enemies.

    Driving Gale

  • Found: Defeat the Rat-men.
  • Uses: Inflicts Shocked status, which usually causes an enemy to be unable to attack the following round. Some enemies are immune...or it's bugged, hard to say which.

    Fury of the Storm

  • Found: Defeat the Wraith.
  • Uses: Allows you to attack twice the following round. Can even cast the same spell twice.


Light School Spells

    Sunburst

  • Found: Solve the second Djinn riddle.
  • Uses: Heals 20HP every round for four rounds.

    Revealing Rays

  • Found: Defeat the Tree Spirit.
  • Uses: Shows you the next three moves to be made by the enemy. Most creatures are extremely predictable, so there are only like two good uses for this.

    Blinding Light

  • Found: Defeat the Living Tree.
  • Uses: Blinds the enemy, causing its next attack to miss.


Earth School Spells

    Stone Shield

  • Found: Solve the Djinn's third riddle.
  • Uses: Reduces all incoming damage for three rounds.

    Iron Golem

  • Found: Defeat the Skeletons.
  • Uses: Blocks enemy attacks.

    Diamond Aegis

  • Found: Defeat the Winged Skull.
  • Uses: Reduces all incoming damage for one round. Since this can only be used once per battle, it's not super useful.


Darkness School Spells

    Malice

  • Found: Solve the Djinn's fourth riddle.
  • Uses: Does 50 damage to the enemy, but drains 25HP from your health.

    Blindness

  • Found: Defeat the Crystal Golem.
  • Uses: It's supposed to confuse enemies into attacking each other, but I've never gotten that to work. You'd think this would be useful against the Depth Spiders, but the one time I tried it lead to the instant kill attack against me.

    Demon's Pact

  • Found: Defeat the Depth Spiders.
  • Uses: Increases your attack power, but also drains 25HP. Semi-useful, but more often than not leaves you without enough HP to finish the battle.


Time School Spells

    Rewind

  • Found: Defeat Jair.
  • Uses: Rolls back time to the previous round. Undoes everything except for damage done to the enemy.
